Global Defenders – The Official Site

So we have had this crazy Senate meeting on and off for like 2 weeks. I apologize but the minutes arent gonna be good.
So here is what has been done:
– Senate password has been developed. Top secret sorry.
– 3/4 Rule to ammend. Previously we just used majority, but now officially all ammendments must have 3/4ths vote to pass.
– 3ic Rank duties: 3ics are in charge of members ranks (all higher ranks are still in charge but mainly duty of 3ic) They assist the Drill Sergeant in his or her training. They are responsible to keep the Training regiment active and work with the Drill Sergeant to get things done.
– 2ic Rank Duties: 2ics are in charge of mod ranks. They are to make sure mods are doing wat they need to be and are responsible to teach mods how to lead. No Mod Training is yet required.
– Head of Senate: ruled not to be a 2ic. Further made that it isnt an owner. Must be an experienced active Mod. Must be on Senate (counts as Senator).
– Special ranks: Troop nominated to be a special rank by owners decision and then is approved by the Senate.
– Ammendment: 1 Senator for every active Troop. Amount chosen in Senate elections based on previous active check.

So sorry for this disorganization. After the new Senate comes in this April, these will start to become important. I also would like to note that I am not running for Senate, but will be sort of mentoring the Head of Senate in how to run meetings (I keep it very organized and professional and it WILL stay that way).
Also thw Next Senate meeting will have bettet minutes (I or another Owner will be there to take minutes).

Today was supposed to be the Senate meeting. Red Dude was not in attendance because his swim and Gold filled in. Frosty had her first Senate meeting. Negi you didnt show up. I understand if your busy, just comment. Pungy filled in. Due to the unorganized quality and my having to leave, the meeting has been put on hold. The meeting will resume at 11:30 Pst tomorrow. I ask that all who attended first half attend the rest (you already know what is/went on). Senators who couldnt make it, please show. However you will not vote if all from Friday are present.

-Ammendment law (3/4 vote required)
Note that this was how things have been run but was unofficial.
-3ic job: control member ranks and supervise training, assist Drill Sergeant
-2ic job: control Mod ranks
To Be Addressed
– Head of Senate: 2ic or another?
– address filling Special Ranks: how this is performed (vote on post or leader decision etc) and if Owner council or Senate decides in future.
– other proposals

I suggest that a 2ic is in charge of Senate and the other in charge of another thing (maybe Mods or training them idk yet) since we have two. In US gov’t the Vice Pres is in charge of Congress or one of the two parts i believe. Thats where this comes from. I suggest Special Ranks nominated by Owner council (Staff of Chiefs or whateva) and then voted on by Senate. In US gov’t, Pres nominates justices etc and Congress votes. Thats where this comes from. Citizens of GD please feel free to make proposals in a comment if not participating tomorrow.
Note that all have the right to attend Senate meetings but cannot speak and will be temporarily guested. You are only allowed to view the happenings but not allowed to share as this is not your job an this is no city council. We may ask for proposals from citizens though.
