Hello, I'm Pungy1234, your retired leader and founder. My career in CP armies has been quite dynamic and by many peoples' point of view, quite strange. I joined the Nachos in 2009. I was in Nachos for a while but then they forced everyone to download the Nachos toolbar. This had also been right after I had gotten a talk at my school about not downloading things O_O. Because of this, I didn't download it and couldn't access the Nachos site. That seemed to be the end of my army career. Eventually, I quit CP and went to the world of Runescape. One day, I decided to start playing CP again (don't ask me why) and I remembered the Nachos. I found their site, and I was not forced to download the toolbar :) so I rejoined as a Private and I am now retired. I lead and founded the Global Defenders of CP. Thanks to Redd Kool, my dream became a reality. I led GD through the Flyer Wars, the First SWAT War, World War XII, the Second SWAT War, and many other encounters. I lead GD to become 8th on the Major Army Top Ten, though I couldn't have done it without my ever so loyal troops. Through leading GD, I became far from inexperienced and was inducted as a Small-Medium Army Legend by SMAC. When SMAC had "Legends Removals," I was not removed. I am also working as a Philosopher on Club Penguin Army Central (CPAC) and as the Head at Small-Medium Army Central (SMAC). Through journalism, I was able to further expand my reputation, and bring my ideas to the Club Penguin Army World. I bought GD a CSS and a Domain (gdarmy.com), which were both worth every cent (special thanks to Etac for coding). I hope to have the honor of leading this army to its golden age. Join the Global Defenders today!

What is GD? In Response to Redd’s Retirement

Hello Comrades,

It is I, the legendary Ligit Pengy, whom speaks to you today. Some people doubt that I actually exist. They think I’m a figment of Pungy’s imagination. Well the answer is, I’m not. Now, onto the point.

Often times, I’ve been asked to explain to someone what GD really is. Beyond the battles, uniforms, graphics, etc. GD is, in a way, different from other armies. I’ve asked Pungy, why it is that GD hasn’t died, even though they’ve gone through some terrible times. His reply was this:

“GD is a group of friends, who (by and large) respect each other. GD is united by more than a globe hat or text on the ranks page. We’re united by a mutual sense of friendship, and that’s what makes us strong. It is this mutual sense of friendship, that makes GD the best army on Club Penguin”

As you can see, even Koala can’t believe it. But GD is alive. And to tell you the truth, we’re lucky to be. As Pungy said, what’s kept us alive is not ranks or graphics or plans. What’s kept us alive is the dedication of our troops.

To be frank, GD beat the odds. GD should have died in the early stages of creation. But we didn’t. Why? I said it earlier. Pungy said it earlier. But one thing in particular has given GD perhaps the biggest break we ever got. What is this?

Redd Kool

Today I was surfing the web, when I came across Redd’s retirement post. The post struck me hard, and inspired me to write this post.

As a retired GD Owner, member of the Medal Committee, and recipient of the Medal of Early Dedication, I’m proud to present, with agreement from Pungy, to give Redd

The Medal of Honor

In case you don’t know what this is, this award is awarded to those who “Go Above and Beyond the Call of Duty.” In GD, the medal is awarded to the “Above and Beyond” leaders, who’s reign in GD was one that echoed in an important era of GD history. While Redd’s reign as leader was not very impressive, due to the fact that he was bust, Redd’s time as 2ic was his best era, and perhaps the best GD has seen.

To Redd:

Pungy and I present you with this award to say thanks for all you have done. Without you, GD would have died in February. Without you, GD wouldn’t have been here to see the triumph over the Flyers. Without you GD wouldn’t have been here to see our rise into the Top Ten. Without you, GD wouldn’t have been here to see us defy the odds of depression and stay alive. Without you, GD wouldn’t have been here to begin their Top Ten streak. Without you, GD wouldn’t have been here to see the victory over the Watex Warriors. Without you, GD wouldn’t have been here to see Pungy appoint Negi 1ic. Without you, GD wouldn’t have been here. Words, memes, and medals cannot describe your service to GD. In fact, the only thing that can come close, is our hearts. So, as Ligit Pengy, I want to formally say “Thank You.”

Today GD, and forever, we tip our Globe Hats to Redd Kool: The Man, the Myth, the Legend. Thank you, and God/Allah/Whoever you believe in, bless GD!
