Hey GD, The Practiced and Experienced Attack Regiment (aka P.E.A.R.) is in need of troops. P.E.A.R. is an elite group of GD troops committed to serving above and beyond the call of duty. Being in P.E.A.R. means being the best of the best, but you have to show us you belong there.
Requirements for P.E.A.R. Applicants
- Must have been in GD for at least 1 month
- Must have attended at least 2 GD events
- Must be able and willing to devote an extra hour of WORK each day
- Must be able and willing to submit to rigorous training
- Must be able and willing to spent at least 30 minutes a day for recruiting

Owner Training Program
Remember the GD training regiment? Probably not, since it hasn’t been used for a year. The training regiment is going to be used for Owner Training from now on.
New Ownership Requirement
To become an owner rank in the Global Defenders, one must have received certification from the Owner Training program or have led an army that was ranked at least 10th in a Medium Top Ten, given by a legitimate news source.
This new law will be effective on May 25th, 2012.
To receive ownership certification, you simply must receive one week’s worth of training from the Global Defenders training regiment. The website and training facilities will be open soon.
What’s All This For?
We know you are all great and loyal troops. You work hard for GD each and every day. However, we’ve noticed that our owners haven’t really been going “above and beyond” as they should be. My theory is that we can’t blame them, because they haven’t been told how. The owner training program is put into action to ensure that each owner is well trained and ready to someday lead GD.
My recent search for owners has been done totally backwards. I tried to find “experienced” people to hold ownership positions. It wasn’t until recently that I realized I had been neglecting the troops that are the backbone of GD. You all deserve to hold ownership positions, but you need to be ready for them. The training program will make sure that happens.
Once again, thanks for being the awesome troops you are. I look forward to working with many of you in the owner training program.

Pungy, you’d like what I say next. I am un-retiring. BUT I must have my old rank back (Highest mod), And I will apply for the P.E.A.R …. Plus Apply for owner training. Btw I have led a medium army, Fire Invaders (Got 9th-8th place in SMAC medium top ten once). Just reply telling me how I can be trained to be an owner, and here’s my application:
