A few of you probably still know me, I am Ligit Pengy, former GD 3ic. I joined GD the day it was created, because Pungy asked me to. I was by his side as GD grew, and I saw him for what he really was. Nobody asked me to write this post, and I’ll try and keep political bias to a minimum. I made this post because people need to know.
Many people have asked me recently, who do I support? To be frank, choosing between Pungy and Redd is like choosing between chocolate ice cream with vanilla sauce, or vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. Those two choices, both of which will be as good as the other, contain the same tastes, and while they seem different on the outside, they are really all the same. The ice cream is made of milk and ice, and the sauces are probably made of some synthetic stuff (if you don’t recognize something in the nutrition facts, it’s probably not healthy). The same applies for Pungy and Redd.
On the outside they have minor differences, but inside they’re both the same.
Both of them love GD, both of them want GD to thrive, and if you read their campaign promises, the way they plan to get there is practically the same. While they may differ in very minor areas, like whether or not to give GC for Assembly attendance, both of them will make GD great. Here’s my opinion on the two of them:
Pungy
Pungy is a great guy. I’ve known him for a very long time, and all he wants is for GD to do well. But Pungy will have a hard time in the government he created for himself. Pungy is a bad politician, but a great leader. I know him well enough to draw that conclusion. He has a tough time getting his ideas across, if you haven’t noticed, but he’s got great ideas inside, and making him the leader will allow him to unlock those ideas and bring them to life. Being a good politician, and being a good leader, do not go hand in hand, as many would believe, but rather they are polar opposites.
Redd
Redd is a great guy as well. I’ve known him fairly well in my time in GD, and I’ve read his posts and monitored him in the Summer of 2012. Redd is slightly more articulate than Pungy, and a better politician. He will make witty and clever campaign ads and he can get his ideas across. Redd helped build up GD, and always stood beside Pungy in his escapades. Redd also has many good ideas, but you’ve probably heard them by now, unlike Pungy’s ideas.
Both candidates would do fine for GD, to be frank. GD will not falter with either as President. Remember, you’re picking between two good things, who are practically the same. And no matter who wins the election, I can guarantee you that the other’s ideas will make their way into GD life some way or another. Redd will always stand by Pungy, and Pungy will always stand by Redd. I asked Pungy what he would do if he lost. He simply responded, “I will stand by Redd and serve him as loyally as he served me.” So as you can see the choice is not simple, as both candidates attack ads would have you think.
The way I see it, a vote for Pungy is a vote for Redd, and a vote for Redd is a vote for Pungy. Pungy and Redd are two great entities morphed into one. They have been one for quite a while, and will be one for a while longer. Both of them are experienced, both of them are qualified, and both of them, will make GD, the greatest army on the globe. So who do I support? I support both.

Wow, this is a great post Ligit. I’ve gotten pretty carried away in this campaign, as have many others, but we all need a little reminder to remind us that we are all Defenders, and that no matter what happens, we’ll be in good hands.
I LIKE THIS GUY.
Great post, Ligit. ;D
Pungy and Redd really have been getting carried away with this election.
