Hey guys, current GD Vice here – and it’s time for me and my VP, which will be announced later in the post, to start campaigning.
My running mate, is Miz. Sure, he may not have been in GD the longest – but he has been active and has resigned from his other armies to be in GD. For the past couple weeks, I’ve been the Vice President of Global Defenders – And while you guys may not respect me, yet, I don’t care if you don’t respect me, don’t tell me that you don’t respect me. I don’t care, all I care about is that you are loyal to GD. So, if we win, then we shall be ready.
Our plan-
-Start a steady stream of unscheduled events, every day, or as close as possible. This will boost activeness and I’ll be able to see who can come to random events.
-Have active counts more often, in the past, I had Active counts 3 or 4 times a month, I like knowing who was active and who wasn’t.
-Demoting the inactive, promoting the active – We’ll still have Terra, although I’m terrible at keeping track of this stuff…
-Promoting activity – Hopefully we’ll have give aways- Where we ask random questions and you answer them for some xats.
So, let’s get on with some other things.
Wyoskyguy- I’m experianced – I’ve been in armies since early 2007 – and have lead as many armies as it’s probably possible. My most notable ones are the Rangers (Which made to the Top Ten Small #1 in about 2 months), CPEM (Which made to the Top Ten Medium #7 in about 2 months), and Pretzels (Which made Top Ten Medium #1 in about a month and a half). So I think I know what I’m doing.
Miz- I joined Armies in 2009. I started in the Ice Warriors, left for months and then went to SWAT- I left them and turned to small armies- I enjoyed them and soon I joined Shadow Troops and started gaining most of my experiance there. I was demoted by VEtsd who currently left leadership. I left in late November for a motn and a half and then came back and joined GD. I am loyal to the core to this army.

So what I’m seeing here is a lot of experience but no loyalty. You and your veep look like you prostitute leadership. Why is it that none of those armies that actually remained alive currently have you as leader? I’d rather see a GD led by someone dedicated, not experienced.
Cuz armies die.
Your current campaign is quite interesting, although I already have two problems that can come up as very big concerns.
The first is that you stated to have a stream of unscheduled events every day, or as such. The flaw with that is that it completely overlooks the defined purpose of an unscheduled event. Unscheduled events are not meant to be had every day, while they are very efficient in boosting activity. If you plan out these events, then why not just make them scheduled? Unscheduled events are meant to happen when there has no been scheduled event planned and there is a sufficient number of people online at one time, including having everyone actually there and not away from their keyboard.
The second problem I found which bugs me quite a bit is the use of xats to promote activity. You may not find it to be “bribery”, but it links to a near direct form of it. Random questions and prizes for them do not build up an army or group. Scheduled events, practice, and communication are more of the ways to build up an army, such as GD. I have seen close to no communication currently within the higher ranks of GD. I have seen plenty of posts explaining practice battles and the sort, although the only results I have seen are of unscheduled events. Recruiting is another quality that I look to see in this army, although as stated with communication, there has been a major lack of that. That is what I want to see in the Leader of the army, not prizes for answering random questions thrown about.
I do, however, like your policy of “Demoting the Inactive, and Promoting the Active”. That is something long since due and I would be glad to see that finally initiated properly. Also, as Leader/President, you should know who is active and who is not. Active counts are amazing, although you should have a good idea of it in the first place.
I wish you luck on your campaign to Presidency. Also, no, I am not back/leaving retirement/returning to the army, if you choose to think of that over this one comment. I simply am stating my ideas and opinions in comment form, not in the shoes of any form of ownership rank.
