The Global Defenders Return

Outback – It’s been exactly a week now since Brady announced the return of the Global Defenders. On Sunday, March 30th, old Global Defenders Empire was reborn by the actions of Brady, also known as Dpd, with the advision of Founder Pungy1234. Since the establishment of GD’s Second Generation, veterans of the army have caught word and come to bring glory to their once-proud nation. Notable returns have been those of former leaders Jacknat02 and Redd Kool. When asked about the return, Redd Kool told us, “I headed over to chat and Brady asked me if I’d come on back, and of course I said yes. I wouldn’t miss the greatest CPA comeback for the world!”

Since the return of the army, big changes have taken place in the old GD government. An Assembly meeting held on Wednesday, whose participants included Redd Kool, Pungy1234, Brady, and Wyoskyguy as well as others, lawfully abolished the former Constitution of the Global Defenders. An improvisational government with Brady as President, Jacknat02 as Vice President, and Pungy1234 as Prime Minister, has been established while the new constitution is drafted. It is clear that GD wants the new government to return to the “good old days”, favoring a rigid rank-and-file structure based on merit over the democratically elected leaders of the past constitution. With these sweeping changes, and with event numbers having been in the 10s, Owners have high hopes for this generation of the Army.

Oreos Join The Empire

Yukon – Saturday Global Defenders’ Prime Minister Pungy1234 announced that an agreement had been reached between the Oreo Army and the Global Defenders, in which the Oreos have accepted colonial authority under the Global Empire. This agreement will create a strong alliance between the two nations, with the Oreos essentially agreeing to accept Defender’s law and leadership in exchange for military protection.

Vice President Jacknat02 was appointed Colonial Governor to the Oreos Nation. When asked for his thoughts on the recent acquisition, Vice President Jack told us he believes “the Oreos will serve well under the fair rule of the Defenders.” The Act of Colonization was signed on April 5th, 2014 by President Brady and Prime Minister Pungy1234.

GD Reaches 4th In SM Top Ten

Klondike – This week’s Top Ten results were posted on the two leading small-medium army news site, and GD was included high up in each. Small Medium Army Central (SMAC) awarded the Defenders 4th, while the Small Medium Army Press (SMAP) awarded them 6th. While these placements do not mean too much, it does mean that the Global Defenders have reached global recognition once more, and will be watched closely in the major army community. Global Defenders officials were pleased with the results, claiming that such high placements in the Small Top in just a week show great promise for the army’s future.

Comeback Event A Success

Outback – With the revival of the army, President Brady had scheduled a Comeback Event for Saturday to kick off the army’s return. On Saturday morning, troops arrived from all over the Empire in Outback to participate in the event. GD Owners were proud to see numbers peaking at around 15 troops and average numbers of around 13. Tactics were also performed very well, with great participation and organization. The event has been seen as a huge success by Owners, and it shows great promise for the army’s rise to power in the near future.
