Mod Training / Games

After much voting, it seems people want a Moderator Training Program. I like this idea better than un-mod week xD. Basically, here is the deal. All mods must participate. Mods will go thru training sessions on how to lead an army. These training sessions will be more or less a “try leading a tactic” session and all mods will be able to perform a tactic. These Mod training days will probably be tactic sessions for members as well. Grand Generals (and maybe High Generals) will possibly be able to lead friendly events. For this we may schedule Divisional PBs such as AF and Army vs Navy and Marines. Mods who do not participate without talking to me first are subject to demotion.

Then, we have another fun idea depending on popularity comments. If you want it, it may come about. This that I speak of is Game Show Week. Every night, a “game show” will be put on. These will be GD and CPA themed games like Jeopardy, Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Millionaire and more. I will personally figure out how to do this if you all want it and we owners will each make ansers for a particular game so we can participate in some. Comment with thoughts and ideas (especially people outside USA like Demos and Lolly who may have different Game Shows).

Fun War with CP Green Team

Hey Global Defenders,

Since our practice battle results with CPGT were so epic and close, we’ve decided to continue battling them for fun. Keith and I agreed to a “Fun War.” Now you might be thinking, “What is this Village Idiot Talkin’ About? How can War be Fun?” Well this is CP Armies! Basically we are going to do the following in a series of six battles.

1st Battle: Practice Battle

2nd Battle: One Army Invade Other’s Server

3rd Battle: Same as 2nd

4th Battle: Other Army Invades Servers

5th Battle: Same as 4th

6th Battle: All out battle to the death

All servers will be returned to their owner as this is not empire expansion. The times and dates will be out soon. Rock on GD!

We need to see what we have here. By saying Timezone, we know what times we need to have events at (ie Many “Pst/USA” means we have events around 4 Pst or 7 Est during weeks). Also, we need to decide if you are active.

Senators better all comment. Demos you better comment. Demos you need to tell me what times are best so we can get Senate going. Remember your timezone is 8 hours earlier than mine.

That’s more like it.

Okay Defenders, we fought the CP Green Team again today. Guess what? We lost. Guess what else? We almost won. Tactics were done pretty well. The CPGT unfortunately has great tactic quality. So long story short, we fought excellent. We have not had numbers like those in a while. Jacknat02 was asking if losing brought us down to small. As an official answer, no. That battle was a practice one so doesn’t count too much as a normal war battle would. Also that was our best performed battle in a while. If anything, it brought us up.

Results:

Tactics — B+

We had great lines and bombs and more, but we were a bit disorganized. Also, stupid things like Diagonal lines were performed by my command, which we weren’t ready for.

Event Attendance — A-

Around 10-15 showed up. I believe this was a promotion battle (correct me Pungy). We had great attendance and people on were actually participating.

Chat Numbers

Around 10-15 the entire battle. Non-Global Defenders were on since we have no policy against that yet. These people were like Tay (retired), Jason (CPGT-GD messenger) and other curious CPGT. Practically everyone on chat had reason to, and all GD on chat were battling.

Overall Performance

We did very well. CPGT did better. They are like number one Medium army though. Don’t kick yourself, this was a classic GD fought battle. We did great, CPGT was even better.

Thank you to the person that gave me these pics (please comment with your name I forgot).They were excellent. He or she was even smart enough to take a picture of chat, something I always forget. They also used Google Chrome so thumbs up for that. (Firefox is great too but only for my Mac).

Ligit Pep Talk Time

Woah so much has changed since I last visited the site. The CSS looks great. Still I’m like “WOAH.” I see that GD is in a rut somewhat. Well it’s time to GET OUT OF THE RUT. You are a GLOBAL DEFENDER! You can’t let a small setback end this great army. This is ONE BATTLE. Don’t overreact and think this army is going to die. IT’S NOT. Get back on your horse (erm globe?) and get on with this great army. This is not the end, beginning of the end, the end of the end, or anywhere in between. This army has gone too far to die. GD NEEDS YOU! (Short Post)

Event Results/GD Redemption Time

Pungy: GD chat was down today starting at about 3:23 PM PST. The cause is unknown.It is back up now.

Our event results were disappointing. The most we had at once was maybe 7. That is way too few troops. We are a better army than this. I expect 15 at the practice battle tomorrow. If we do not get nobody will get promotions.
